How to Measure Your Window Vent Dimensions

Step 1: Determine the size of the insert

• Inserts may replace the entire window or just a section.
  For a casement, hopper, or swing-out window (opens out) full window replacement is required.
• Open the window and measure the height and width of the opening.
  Your plexiglass panel will sit around the edge of your window frame, so you’ll want to add 0.5” to 1.5” (depending on the width of your frame) to your measurement for both the height and width as this will be the area that your Velcro will go to create a tight temporary seal for your panel.
• If you have handles or other obstructions, we can cut notches around them so they don’t interfere with the plexiglass panel. Simply measure the location you’ll need the notch cut. Include the location, width and height of the notch.

Step 2: Determine the adaptor cutout

• The cutout will be placed at least 3” in and 3” up (measured from the edge of the cutout) to maintain structural integrity.

  Instructions when completing your order.

Step 3: Submit

• Please visit the portable ac window panel page to place your order. You are requested to submit the order form with (locate cutout for notches & connector).
• Your order will be reviewed and you will be contacted for payment.
• All window vents are made to order and will take at least 2 days to complete. Up to 5-7 days during the summer months.
